E3 Washington works to convene, catalyze, and communicate equitable environmental and sustainability education across Washington State. We are educators for Environment, Equity, and Economy.
What We Do
ADVOCATE
Share information about the state of Environmental and Sustainability Education
Highlight issues and challenges in Environmental and Sustainability Education, including policy and program opportunities. The end goal is to support a community of practice and action.
Partner with the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction
Provide organizational members professional development, resources and support. Go to E3 pages: Professional Development Opportunities or Events.
Partner with the Governors’ office – Outdoor Recreation, Natural Resource Management, and Education
Help them meet their needs to get more people learning and playing outside; create a generation of young people who are stewards of our state’s natural resources; and promote environment science, agricultural sciences, and natural resource learning and career opportunities for students throughout Washington state.
CONNECT
Foster and promote gatherings for Environmental and Sustainability educators
Host regional summits to share resources and opportunities.
E3 Washington will be holding a statewide conference in Fall 2020.
Bring an equity lens to Environmental and Sustainability Education programs by partnering with community and non-traditional EE based organizations.
Support ESE Professional Development opportunities.
Support the Network of existing Environmental and Sustainability Educators and bring new people into the work.
Share Environmental and Sustainability Education resources and provide pathways for virtual communication and networking

Promote ESE Job Board

Refresh the E3 Washington website.
Create an online map of ESE resources across the state.
Utilize social media tools.
