Educator Interest Application (volunteer)

Organization: Conservation Education Program with the Professional Development Director for the Society of American Foresters

Stipend: A possible stipend, costs for travel, lodging and meals for the training sessions will be covered, dependent on approval.

The Conservation Education Program is looking for volunteer educators in Washington to deliver curriculum at Curlew, Columbia Basin, and Fort Simcoe Job Corps sites. Stipends are available, as well as reimbursement for travel, lodging, and meals. Each program is a 3-day commitment. Please complete this form to be considered for and learn more about serving as a volunteer educator for the SAF Job Corps conservation education pilot project hosted at Forest Service Job Corps Civilian Conservation Centers.  This pilot is directly serving Job Corps Center students ages 16-24.  

As a non-formal educator position, they will be using the terms teacher, instructor, facilitator, educator and other similar terms to refer to this role. They are seeking 5 instructors for each training program. Each program is scheduled on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Tuesday is the instructor prep-day. Wednesday and Thursday are student program days.

Regulatory Services Section Manager

The Regulatory Services Section Manager, reporting to the Protection Division Manager, leads the Hydraulic Project Approval (HPA) program by providing policy guidance, technical support, and training to WDFW staff for fair and consistent regulatory implementation. This role also supports external partners—such as tribal, local, state, and federal agencies—in HPA matters and oversees the department's permit issuance software, ensuring efficient system functionality.

The position supervises staff managing HPA-related tasks, including permit processing, public records, and report generation. Additionally, the manager contributes to fish habitat rulemaking and legislative review related to HPA authority.
