Seattle-Tacoma City Nature Challenge - Orientation for Educators & Other Group Leaders


City Nature Challenge 2023 will take place April 28 - May 1, 2023.  Community members in King, Pierce and Snohomish Counties are encouraged to get outside and log their nature observations via the iNaturalist app.

We’re looking for educators, outdoor group leaders, land managers and any other movers and shakers in the naturalist and environmental education world to join us in engaging our audiences in this amazing event.  Join your SeaTac CNC planning team for this fun and informative virtual session and learn how you and your network can help lead participation in this global event.  Let’s get people outdoors and engaged with their nearby nature!

When:  Tuesday, March 14th
3:30-4:45 pm PST

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Who: Educators (classroom, informal, nature, outdoor, etc.) and other group and environmental leaders in King, Pierce or Snohomish Counties who wants to help get people engaged in City Nature Challenge 2023

What:  We’ll cover the basics of the event, using the iNaturalist app and share some fun stories of past events.  We will also discuss creative ideas for how best to recruit, motivate and lead others to engage in this event.
