Nature Camp Naturalist - Birds Connect Seattle

You are passionate about sharing the natural world with children and love spending time exploring urban greenspaces with other nature nerds. You are laser-focused on creating safe, fun, and welcoming experiences for kids and thrive as a part of a small, highly organized team.

Naturalists teach age-appropriate ecology, cultural, and art education activities to children between the ages of 6-12, in field groups of 10-12 campers.  Educational lessons, games, and team-building activities foster a fun and respectful camp spirit.

Commitment: Full time, seasonal – 10 weeks between June 17 – August 23 OR June 24 – August 30

Location: Shoreline/North Seattle OR Burien/White Center

Compensation: $21.50-$23/hour.

Kitchen Support Staff - Wenatchee Valley YMCA

Kitchen Support Staff will also assist the cabin leader in managing the health, welfare, and development of a group of 6 to 10 campers on a 24-hour basis under the direction of the Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director. The Trip Coordinatoris responsible for all groups leaving camp, ensuring all groups complete the YMCA risk management documentation and have adequate supplies and safe functional equipment. The Trip Coordinator may assist camp by coordinating, organizing, and leading camp activities, or by providing administrative office support as needed. The Trip Coordinator will also assist the cabin leader in managing the health, welfare, and development of a group of 5 to 8 campers on a 24-hour basis under the direction of the Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director. 21+, WFR/WFA, excellent leadership and planning skills, outdoor living/camping experience a must!
