KTE3 REGIONAL INFORMATION

Meetings & Events

Leaders in our community have recognized the need for a comprehensive and coordinated plan for environmental education.  On Friday, March 7, 2008, residents of Kittitas County will develop this plan at the Kittitas County “e3” Regional Summit, to be held at the Kittitas County Fairgrounds

The goals for the Summit are to develop a comprehensive plan for environmental education in Kittitas County and to establish networks between diverse audiences to create a sustainable community.

All interested stakeholders are invited to attend the Summit and have a hand in crafting the future of our community.

The e3 plan will include learning opportunities provided by schools, community organizations and governmental agencies. The list of e3 Advisory Council members is long, and growing.  Environmental education teaches citizens to live sustainably on the land, and that’s a goal supported by a wide range of groups.

The Kittitas Environmental Education Network (KEEN) is coordinating the effort for our county and can be contacted at keen@kittitasee.net for more information.
